NHL Star Nathan Walker to Join the 2026 Jamboree
Australian NHL player Nathan Walker will attend the 2026 McCrae Williamson Jamboree on Saturday 6 June at 11:00 — a once-in-a-generation opportunity for young players.
We have some very exciting news: Nathan Walker will be attending the 2026 IHA McCrae Williamson Jamboree in Adelaide on Saturday 6 June at 11:00.
Who is Nathan Walker?
Nathan Walker is a trailblazer for Australian ice hockey. Born in Cardiff, Wales, and raised in Australia, Nathan became the first Australian-born player to be selected in the NHL Entry Draft (Washington Capitals, 2014) and subsequently the first to play in the NHL.
He has gone on to build a successful professional career in North America, representing Australia at the international level and inspiring a generation of young Australians to pick up a stick.
What This Means for the Jamboree
Nathan will be on the ice with players during the 11:00 session on Saturday 6 June — a rare and genuinely special opportunity for the 7–11 year olds attending to:
- Skate alongside and take instruction from a current professional player
- Hear first-hand about the pathway from junior hockey in Australia to the highest levels of the game
- Ask questions and get inspired
Make sure you’re on the ice and ready for the 11:00 start on Saturday — this is not one to miss.
